The Canadian loonie has some how become the standard for intergalactic currency. A guy who looks like a combination between Steven Seagul and mini Captain Picard is calling himself “Whackmaster Jack” and offering self defense lessons. This is the future, this is Anachronox.

TFM Game Review: SSX
Going all the way back to 2000, EA has been producing the SSX franchise in various incarnations. Thanks to my Gamefly queue, I played through the newest game in this franchise, released late February 2012. For an arcade style snowboarding game, it was extremely fun. The premise of the game is you play as Team …

TFM Review: Blades of Time
A few weeks ago, I downloaded the demo and reviewed Konami’s 2012 release, Blades of Time. Although I certainly wasn’t in love with it, I enjoyed the demo and actually found that I went back and played it through a couple more times, each time improving my skills and gaining a better understanding of the game mechanics. …

TFM Game Review: X-Men Destiny
So this week I will be writing a review of X-Men: Destiny on the Xbox 360. This will be a complete game review. Yes, you are reading correctly that I, Superlute58, have finished a game. I already got an achievement in the game so no need for a new one here. The base plot of …

TFM Review: Marvel Avengers Alliance
Oh yeah, It’s all about the Avengers right now. The movie drops soon and the X-Men seem to be on the back burner while everyone eagerly anticipates the Avengers hitting the big screen. It’s so big that the Facebook world has a game out for it! I know, I’m reviewing a Facebook game. But when …

TFM Way Too Early Review: The Reckoning
Now we aren’t a fancy site like IGN that gets game copies early and can review them in full on release day. We are a humble group of gamers that play what we come across or get the chance to buy. On top of that, I have a notorious reputation of not finishing games. So …

TFM Commentary – Why I Returned Brink
To be honest, I haven’t returned officially yet. But I have made up my mind. In this semi quasi review I’ll explain why. To be clear, I did not beat the game or played every level. I spent probably a total of four to six hours playing the missions, creating a character, trying the challenges, …

TFM REVIEW: Gears of War 3 Beta
If you haven’t ever played Gears of War then I invite you to your local used game store and pick one of the titles up for a couple bucks. The games themselves from a campaign view are thrilling, scary, challenging, and enormously fun with a co-op player. This is the first game I owned on …

TFM Review: Dragon Age II
After the success BioWare found in Dragon Age: Origins and following the Mass Effect format, BioWare came out with Dragon Age 2 in the beginning of March. Being a big fan of the first game, I can say the second one did not disappoint. For those unfamiliar with the first game, you are a grey …

TFM Review: The Force Unleashed II
Generally speaking, I am somewhat a moderate fan of Star Wars. I hated the majority of the prequels, loved The New Hope through Return of the Jedi. I even defended the Ewoks. So when I sat down and played The Force Unleashed 2, I was prepared and understood the intricacies of the Force. Little did …

TFM Review: Halo Reach: Custom Game
At first glance, the custom game setting in Halo: Reach is easy to overlook. However, it is not one to overlook if you plan to play multiplayer online competitive matchmaking. Within Custom Game mode, you have the perfect opportunity to develop your multiplayer skills without the embarrassment of repeatedly dying and looking like a noob. …

TFM Review: Halo Reach: Firefight
Are you bored of playing the campaign over and over again? Do you like killing the covenant just a little too much? Do you hate playing online with other players? If you answered yes to any of these, Firefight is the mode for you. With its cousin Score Attack, Firefight is the perfect way to …

TFM Review: Halo:Reach Campaign Mode
I find it difficult to review Halo: Reach in any other context than a comparison to my experience with the previous Halo games. To compare it to other games, other genres, other first person shooters, or even just other sci-fi storylines would be to do a great disservice to a franchise which I have come to respect and admire. Bungie has created an empire and I can only do my best to pay homage to yet another amazing addition to the Halo world
